Desk Alarm
Desk Alarm by Bit Choreography isn't really a Palm program, it's more of an adjunct that works with your Palm. It resides on your PC desktop in the system tray and alerts you to scheduled Palm alarms that you might miss if your PDA wasn't handy. Simply put, it displays your Palm alarms on your desktop PC. Once installed, you can configure how it behaves, then you just leave it alone and it manages all your Palm Alarms. ![]() Using Desk Alarm is simple. You simply install the program on your PC and it resides quietly in the system tray until one of your scheduled Palm alarms goes off. You can configure Desk Alarm to play the .wav file of your choice to alert you to the alarm. An additional feature that is kind of nice is Auto-Save. When enabled, it backs up your alarms and datebook so that you don't lose any data in the event of a crash. This is particularly useful if you leave your Palm Desktop running all the time. The frequency of the auto-save can be set by the user. Desk Alarm is integrated with My Little Buddy by Precise Solutions. Desk Alarm is available via the Desk Alarm website using RegNow, and at PalmGear and Handango and costs $14.95. What I like I don't have to dig my Palm out of my briefcase to hear the alarms. User configurable sounds Auto-Save feature backs up Datebook and alarms. What I don't like Nothing. This program does exactly what it claims to do and does it well. |
