PDA Panache Styli

Don't Hate Them because They're Beautiful
Not only are the Styli offered by PDA Panache well made, they are absolutely beautiful!  I don't know what I want to use more, the replacement stylus for my Palm IIIx or the matte black Visor Stylus they sent (that doesn't fit my Palm IIIx and is just laying on my desk begging to be picked up).
Whether you have a Palm IIIx, V, VII, or a Handspring Visor, PDA Panache has a replacement stylus for your PDA that you will definitely love.  Take your pick of chrome or matte black, either way, you will find that they are a bit heavier (about 50%) than the standard stylus, and using them on the screen is simply a delight.  All feel great in the hand and are a considerable improvement over that cheap stylus that came with your PDA. And they just look so darned cool!

The packaging of the stylus is top notch all the way.  It is very professional and looks as good in the store as it does in a gift box for 'that friend of yours that has everything.'  Of course, you can't very well get one for your friend and not have one for yourself now can you?

Under the cap of the replacement stylus is a handy reset pin that is made of metal and quite sturdy.  Simply unscrew the cap, reset your PDA and you are all set to go!  One thing I did notice about the reset pin is that it is a snug fit in the reset hole in the back of the Palm.

As you can see from the view on the right, the replacement stylus fits perfectly in my Palm IIIx.  As a matter of fact, I think it fits better than the original stylus and certainly is easier to remove.  The top of the stylus sticks out just enough to grab onto it when you want to remove it, but not enough to catch onto anything.  Three small grooves near the top help by providing something for your fingernail to hook onto.  One of the cool things I found about using this stylus with the clear replacement case I have is that not only the stylus was visible, but the bright orange tip could be seen too.  The writing tips are very nice,  much better than the standard issue, however they are on the blunt side.  I happen to prefer a stylus with a little more of a point, but that's a personal preference and open to much debate.

It's a Stylus, it's a Pen, oh wait, it's a Pencil!
The Triple Function Stylus is lightweight and comfortable.  It does suffer from the 'jangle' that multi-function pens seem to have, although it is not loud or distracting at all.

Under the cap of the Triple Function Stylus is an eraser.  This is important, because the Triple Function Stylus comes with a 0.5 pencil, a pen and a stylus.  Now I know that none of us ever make mistakes, but knowing there is an eraser in the cap sure is reassuring.  All three tips work well and you can expect the right one as long as you hold the pen level with the indicator of your chosen tip pointing up.

PDA Panache also makes inexpensive plastic styli that can be branded with your companies name for use in the office or for promotional purposes.  They look just like a Bic pen with a stylus tip.  They even have a pen/stylus combo!  They come with caps and are offered in several different colors.

Is there a PDA Panache Stylus in your future?

What I like:
Beautiful looking stylus replacements.
Smooth writing tip.
Bright orange tip is easy to see.

What I don't like:
I noticed some slight stripping of the threads on the caps of the replacement stylus
